Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Robusto
Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Robusto
Oliva gave the Melanio line a darker expression with the Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Robusto, a box-pressed 5 x 52 cigar that trades the original Ecuador wrapper for Mexican San Andres while keeping the Nicaraguan binder and filler core that made the line so widely followed. The result is a fuller, more earthy profile without losing the balance and polish that define Melanio.
Expect a concentrated mix of dark chocolate, raisin, caramel, cedar, and pepper supported by the rich character of Nicaraguan ligero tobaccos. In Robusto form, it offers enough body to satisfy fans of fuller cigars while remaining composed and refined rather than aggressive. Smoked at an easy pace, this size generally delivers about 45 to 65 minutes of smoking time.
This exact vitola earned notable recognition when it was named the No. 18 Cigar of 2025 by Cigar Aficionado, underscoring how well the Maduro wrapper suits the Robusto format. For smokers who enjoy maduro depth with structure and definition, this release stands as one of the more compelling entries in Oliva’s portfolio.
