Disappointed
I got'em because it was a really good deal. Aromas and taste did not impress, and the construction and burn was below par compared to montecristos I've had in the past. Smokes like a short filler cigar.

The Montecristo Double Corona (Toro) is another great Montecristo cigar addition to my Humidor. This version is similar to the Robusto in profile, it just takes a little longer smoke.

I smoked my first Montecristo original as part of the Class Act Robusto Sampler, and I definitely enjoyed it and is one of my favorites. So, when a friend offered me the half corona size for a nice after breakfast cigar, I could not refuse. Perfect size for a quick morning smoke, nice smooth creamy flavor profile, solid construction with a clean burn and no wrapper issues. Recently purchased a box for just that occasion.

Montecristo No. 1
The Montecristo No.1 is at the top of my list and has been for years, now.
No. 1 is my go to cigar for flavor, subtle and earthy, never overpowering and so good, I can smoke these until the ash almost drops behind my teeth. I like to wash them down with a nice, bold Cab or Islay malt. That, my friend is a fine evening on the screened in porch.

Great smoke with even burn. I always stick with the original Dominican and am never disappointed. I do switch sizes but the Robusto is my favorite.

Decent but not wow
Let’s start by saying the DR and Cuban versions share one thing and one thing only, the name. This version is a good smoke but lacks the complexity of the Cuban version. With that being said, I cannot justify the price tag for the DR version. This is a light and creamy smoke but also had some bite on the back end of white pepper. Overall 8/10. Value 6/10.

My Current Favorite
I smoked my first Montecristo original as part of the Class Act Robusto Sampler. I definitely enjoyed it. I then received a few more of these smooth sticks as I tried other Mike samplers. Bottom line: this cigar fits all my need points. It has a nice smooth creamy taste, solid construction with a clean burn and no wrapper issues. So now, I purchase these sticks regularly with Mike's double stacks, as the double stack delivers an awesome price point for these premium cigars.

Great Stick
I got this stick as part of a double stack. Excellent stick. Smooth with a touch of spice and cream and a little cocoa. Construction is perfect. I will say it did burn a little faster than expected, but that just gives me a chance to have another one right away.

One of my favorite cigars. Enjoyable morning, afternoon, or in the evening. Luscious notes of caramel, nuts and vanilla. The aroma is sweet and toasty.
