Drew Estate created Undercrown Shade as a softer, creamier counterpoint within the Undercrown family, and the Gordito brings that blend to a broad 6 x 60 format. Handmade in Nicaragua, it pairs an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper with an Ecuador Sumatra binder and a filler mix of Nicaraguan Criollo and Corojo tobaccos alongside Dominican Criollo 98.
The profile stays in the mellow to medium-bodied range, offering a rounded character built on sweet cream, toasted nuts, cedar, light spice, citrus, and a touch of honey. In this larger Gordito size, expect an unhurried smoking window of roughly 75 to 105 minutes, depending on pace.
