Created as the mellower expression of Drew Estate’s acclaimed Undercrown line, Undercrown Shade Connecticut Corona pairs an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper with a Sumatran binder and a blend of Dominican Criollo ’98 and Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo fillers. Handmade in Nicaragua, it keeps the line’s depth intact while shifting the profile toward a smoother, creamier register.
Rather than leaning only on softness, this Corona brings a layered character built around toast, nuts, sweet cream, and light spice, with subtle citrus and a touch of honey adding lift to the finish. The classic Corona format offers a more traditional feel in the hand and generally smokes for about 35 to 50 minutes at an easy pace, making it a practical choice when you want Connecticut-wrapper finesse with more flavor than the category often suggests.
