Created to mark four decades of the Excalibur name, Excalibur Black Robusto takes the line in a darker, fuller-flavored direction without pushing far beyond medium to full body. This 5 x 50 Robusto is handmade in Honduras and built around a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuador Sumatra binder with Honduran and Nicaraguan long fillers, giving the blend a deeper, more savory profile than the traditional Excalibur expressions.
Expect a rich mix of pepper, earth, leather, and cocoa with a natural sweetness that keeps the smoke balanced rather than heavy. The Robusto format offers enough time for the blend to show its character while remaining practical for a shorter session, usually around 40 to 55 minutes at an unhurried pace.
