La Gloria Cubana La Gloria started as a little store-front factory in South 8th St. downtown Miami. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Cuban Senator and tobacco grower, fled Cuba in 1959, taking with him the secret of La Gloria Cubana cigars. He began making them in the heart of Little Havana in 1968, where their bold taste made them a local favorite.
Oliva Serie O Grown and produced under the same demanding standards the Oliva Serie O product line is just as good. But The “O” is made under a different strategy, namely the good old Cuban way of making “puro” (pure) cigars, that is, using a tobacco mix from the same country. The “O” sports a dark oily Piloto Cubano Nicaraguan grown wrapper and similar blend. This blend was achieved by growing Habano in the Esteli, Condega and Jalapa Valleys of Nicaragua.
