Description

Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 is a regular-production extension of the brand’s long-running Vintage series, built around a Mexican San Andrés wrapper from the 2006 harvest. That leaf is paired with a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan fillers, giving the line a darker, fuller profile than earlier Vintage releases while keeping the emphasis on balance that defines the series.

Made in Nicaragua, the collection is generally described in the medium- to full-bodied range, with notes centered on earth, cocoa, espresso, leather, pepper, and a measured natural sweetness from the aged wrapper. Rather than treating strength as the main event, Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 leans on mature tobacco character and a more layered maduro-style profile, making it a distinct entry within the broader Rocky Patel Vintage lineup.

No pulling punches

There's no pump faking here this 06 hits you square in the nose. Sweet and heavy with minimal spice on the back end. It will light you up every time you retrohale.

Overload

I just couldn't do it honestly I really tried but I couldn't. I thought my pilot was up to the test but I only got halfway through this before I had to put it down. At least now I have something to work my way up to.

Best since 2002

This is by far the best vintage series since the 2002 release. This 06 really tastes completely different from everything else in the vintage lines. That San Andreas really changes things.

2006 Combo

The combination of the Mexican San Andreas wrapper and the Connecticut broadleaf binder is absolutely on point. Mixed in with the Nicaraguan fillers this delivers lots of intensity jam-packed with dark chocolate Smoky hickory and a touch of nougat.
