Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 Toro
Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 Toro
Introduced as a newer branch of Rocky Patel’s long-running Vintage series, the Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 Toro stands apart for its Nicaraguan production and its use of well-aged San Andrés leaf. This 6 1/2 x 52 Toro is rolled at Rocky Patel’s TaviCusa factory in Estelà and features an 11-year-old Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan fillers, giving the blend a richer, more assertive profile than some of its earlier Vintage siblings.
The smoke lands in the medium to full-bodied range with a character built around earth, leather, spice, and dark cocoa, backed by a touch of natural sweetness. In Toro format, it offers enough length to let the blend settle into a steady, flavorful rhythm, usually smoking for about 75 to 95 minutes at an unhurried pace. Smokers who enjoy the depth of San Andrés wrapper leaf but still want the familiar refinement associated with Rocky Patel’s Vintage line will find this cigar especially appealing.
