Introduced by My Father Cigars as a richer companion to Flor de las Antillas, La Antiguedad Toro is a box-pressed Nicaraguan made by the Garcia family in EstelÃ. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over double binders of Nicaraguan Criollo and Corojo, with filler tobaccos grown on the family’s San Rafael, Las Quebradas, and San Jose farms.
This 5 5/8 x 55 Toro delivers the fuller side of the line with notes of earth, roasted coffee, baker’s chocolate, and a touch of floral sweetness. Its broad ring gauge and box-pressed shape give it an unhurried feel, and most smokers can expect roughly 75 to 95 minutes with a relaxed pace.
