Romeo y Julieta 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua cigars are a groundbreaking project from Altadis U.S.A! If you’re a fan of Connecticut-shade wrappers, you’re probably used to seeing them come from either the Connecticut River Valley or grown under the natural cloud-cover of Ecuador. Now, compliments of master-blender, Rafael Nodal and Nestor Plasencia, you have the rare opportunity to try a cigar wrapped in the first Nicaraguan-grown Connecticut seed tobacco. Ever. Introducing: The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua. This is a Nicaraguan puro that uses the finest vintage binder and filler tobaccos grown on the famed Plasencia farms. The cigar is finished with a gorgeous, silky, Connecticut seed wrapper. However, what makes this blend so special, is the fact that this Connecticut leaf normally harvested from the rich rocky hills in the Connecticut River Valley of the U.S, is grown in Nicaragua and aged more than three years. The result is a unique and intriguing new cigar that combines the signature earthy, spicy, sweetness of premium Nicaraguan tobaccos with the creamy smoothness of its prized Connecticut seed wrapper leaf. The cigars come in four sizes: Bully (5 x 50), Churchill (7 x 50), Magnum (6 X 60), and Toro (6 x 50). With the Romeo y Julieta 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua, you’re in for a never-before-tasted experience of the smooth, creamy notes typical of Connecticut-shade leaf with an extra dimension of complexity and richness that can only be produced by the black volcanic soil of Nicaragua.
