For the first time since 2012—arguably 2008—Oliva releases an entirely new cigar line. It’s called the Oliva Gilberto, named after the family’s patriarch, and if it looks a bit familiar, it’s because it is. The cigar was originally announced as the Facundo, Gilberto Oliva Sr.’s father and son of Melanio Oliva, who got his own cigar in 2012. However, due to a trademark conflict with rum maker Bacardi, the company changed the name. Oliva Gilberto cigars are an eclectic mix of Nicaraguan fillers, Ecuadorian binder and a sumptuous Sumatran wrapper. ...Read More
I really enjoys smoking these Toros. A well constructed cigar with smooth and taste burn. I have enjoyed most of the Oliva cigars I have tried. Still have a few more on my list. Looking forward to trying the others.

Oliva Gilberto Reserva Blanc - Toro
Hard to Beat
Okay so I know it's not a series v melanio but it's not priced to be either. This is an awesome medium-bodied super flavorful and complex cigar that allows you to smoke at your leisure without worrying about your budget.

Quality consistency like only Oliva can. I wish they could keep their other Churchill sizes at this kind of price point.....

Medium, leathery with a bit of sweetness. Above average smoke that's really well put together and priced.

Average
I am a huge fan of Oliva cigars and I was skeptical to try their lower-level Gilberto as I knew it would not be the same quality as their other cigars. That being said the cigar was rolled nice and smoked well, but just lacked in taste. Overall just a very average cigar.

Good enough
This toro sized Oliva cigar is good enough for me to place a positive review so my fellow cigar enthusiasts get something to read while browsing for their next cigar adventure. I actually don't have much to say about the cigar as it is pretty average. Good price. Good size. Good flavor.

Good 'ol Oliva
This is a "good" Oliva cigar but a bit far from the "great" Oliva cigars like the V Melanio. I would recommend you to spend $10 more on the box, skip this one, and get the Serie V Melanio instead. Believe me, you won't regret it.

Ok but prefer others
These Oliva are ok cigars but I have found them to be a little bit too spicy for me. Since they are supposed to be of a medium strength, I was expecting them to be a little bit more on the "mellow" side of the road.
