The wrappers are Honduran San Agustin Havana combined with a premium blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, Ometepe tobaccos. Ometepe tobaccos are very special as they are grown on an island in Lake Nicaragua formed by two volcanoes, making for very bold, decadent flavors and aromas of sweet dulce de leche, triple espresso and strong coffee beans, present and consistent throughout these cigars. A nice and pleasant draw, old world construction and even perfect burn are other attributes that makes this cigar worthwhile, in addition to its absolutely beautiful appearance. Macanuco 1968 cigars are simply the best. Ometepe tobaccos are very special as they are grown on an island in Lake Nicaragua formed by two volcanoes, making for very bold, decadent flavors and aromas of sweet dulce de leche, triple espresso and strong coffee beans, present and consistent throughout these cigars.

Macanudo 1968 Robusto

Great Stogie

First time smoking this Macanudo line, I usually go for an Insiprado or Vintage but decided to give this one a try and I am really happy I did.
Strong taste, with hints of coffee but not too overpowering at all.
Great construction, good draw (not perfect) and most importantly: even burn and strong, tight ash.

I have tried many cigars over the years but nothing can compare to the Macanudo 1968 Toro. This is truly a special occasion cigar treat. The flavor of this cigar is very rich and full and when enjoyed near the ocean, becomes a treat to the senses. Most notably is the flavor of combined dark chocolate and pepper spice. I urge all of my friends to enjoy this smoke

Macanudo 1968 Toro

Great cigar, but poor construction

I have ordered several 5-packs of these and they are some of the best tasting cigars I have had. If only they knew how to roll them correctly. At least half of them tunneled or were so tight they could not be smoked. This is surprising from such a reputable company. Very disappointing. Would order a box otherwise. Will not order these again.

Very Nice Smoke

Very popular whenever I light one up. Smokes evenly and smells great (constantly getting acknowledgments and questions about 1968). My only complaint is that it is a bit spicy for my taste, but that is just my preference, there is nothing wrong with this cigar at all!
