Named for the family patriarch, Oliva Gilberto Reserva is a Nicaraguan-made line built around a Sumatra wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and aged Nicaraguan fillers. That combination gives the collection a profile that is generally smoother and more aromatic than many of the fuller expressions in the broader Oliva portfolio, with notes often centered on cedar, earth, nuts, and restrained pepper rather than heavy spice.
The line’s identity is tied less to power than to balance and approachability, making it a useful counterpoint to Oliva’s more robust, spice-driven offerings. Across the range, Oliva Gilberto Reserva is known for traditional construction, medium-bodied character, and a blend style that reflects the family’s long-standing focus on Nicaraguan tobacco while softening it with a more measured, rounded presentation. ...Read More

Sweet and Creamy
It's not my first Oliva, but it became my best.
Many other recommend Melanio,
But Gilberto's sweet chocolate creamy taste can't be beaten.
It's my daily now.

Churchill Champ
If you're at Churchill lover like me you know that lately a lot of Churchill's are hit and miss. When you find great ones they're usually super pricey. This is by far the best price, best quality Churchill on the market today and has been so for some time. So if you're a fan, try this out ....it will definitely change your smoking habits.

Best value Oliva period. Call olivas are awesome and most are priced pretty good but none of them or anything else that I can think of comes close to the gilberto's. They have the flavor the construction and the quality and they are priced to move by the box.

Prelude to greatness
This stick is so good and has been around a minute. There are some subtle flavor note and a bit less power but I feel this was the building block for the Melanios...and at half the price

Cedary Sweet
Cedar dominated profile, so if that's not a note you enjoy, steer clear. But if you do like cedary spice and a backdrop of sweet savory dessert tones then this is the one.
