Built around a dark Mexican San Andres wrapper and a broad 6 x 60 Gigante format, Surplus by CAO Maduro Gigante delivers the richer side of the Surplus line without leaving value behind. The blend uses Dominican Olor long fillers beneath an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, creating a full-bodied profile with a lively edge rather than a one-note, heavy Maduro character.
Expect a bold core of earth, cocoa, and pepper supported by a brighter, zesty streak that keeps the smoke active on the palate. Rolled in Honduras, this cigar is aimed at smokers who enjoy generous ring gauges and a fuller expression with everyday-bundle practicality. At 6 x 60, it generally offers about 60 to 90 minutes of smoking time, depending on pace.
