Created to honor Juan Lopez and his three decades in the premium cigar business, the Gurkha Tres Decadas Robusto is a limited-edition 5 x 52 release that places the focus on a modern Nicaraguan profile rather than anniversary nostalgia. This Robusto is wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro over a Nicaraguan binder from Jalapa and a Nicaraguan filler blend featuring tobaccos from Condega, Esteli, and Ometepe.
The cigar lands in the medium to full-bodied range with a flavor profile that centers on pepper, natural sweetness, and earthy depth, with notes often described in terms of fruit, cinnamon, and caramel. Its 5 x 52 format offers a practical smoking window of about 45 to 65 minutes at an easy pace, making it well suited to smokers who want a limited Gurkha release with layered character and a firmer Nicaraguan core. Production was limited to 1,000 boxes per size, with the cigars presented in 10-count boxes.
