Created to honor the 1950 opening of Mike Mersel’s Miami Beach cigar shop, Mike's 1950 is a house line built around a straightforward medium-to-full-bodied profile. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic with a Honduran wrapper and binder over a filler blend from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, giving the collection a clear identity within the Mike’s portfolio.

Across the line, that blend is known for balancing sweetness and spice with earthy character, supported by notes often associated with nuts and coffee. Rather than chasing a heavy or experimental style, Mike's 1950 reflects a more traditional approach: approachable in structure, fuller in body than many everyday smokes, and tied directly to the shop history that inspired its name.

Staple cigar

As a newer cigar smoker, wow, I was really impressed with this cigar. I got it in a sampler I bought on Groupon and I’m so glad I purchased the sampler. This cigar was wonderfully smooth, tasted delicious and is definitely going to be a cigar I purchase often & or in bulk.

Excellent Surprise!

This 1950 has been rolling around in my humidor for months. It came in a sampler. Finally gave it a try, and what an excellent surprise. A little fuller bodied than my usual smoke (I’ve been thinking of changing my ways), and this cigar really opened my taste buds to what I’ve been missing. Just ordered a box!
