When quality meets affordability a Casa de Garcia cigar is crafted. This premium brand hailing from the Dominican Republic charms cigar connoisseurs with the variation in its line and the brands it associates itself with.
Altadis USA is responsible for creating this beautiful range of budget-friendly. Altadis USA is most known for producing big names like Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, and H. Upmann.
Casa de Garcia cigars are hand-rolled on the same tables and by the same torcedors as the other industry star brands Altadis owns. The difference is it costs a significant amount less, but the quality remains.
The Tabacalera de Garcia SAS manufactures a lot of cigars for Altadis. It is the largest cigar factory in the world and the biggest employer in the Dominican Republic, with over 5,000 employees.
It is a considerable honor to be part of the Pro Cigar Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers. The Tabacalera de Garcia SAS holds this honor because they commit to maintaining traditional standards and roll cigars they are proud to be credited for producing.
For over three decades the Tabacalera de Garcia SAS was under the watchful eye of cigar master José Seijas, but in 2012 he stepped down from his position at Altadis to focus on his own brand. Javier Elmudesi is now tasked with running the outlying operation, which is far from the tobacco industry center in the Dominican Republic.
The Casa de Garcia lines are mostly mild to medium strength blends consisting of Dominican and Honduran filler tobacco and various wrappers, including Connecticut Shade and Broadleaf. The exception is the Casa de Garcia Nicaragua, which has a stronger body and features both Nicaraguan and Colombian tobacco.
On their website, Altadis asks “Want a lot of cigar for your money?” Their answer to that question is the Casa de Garcia. You’ll get the most bang for your buck with these premium cigars.
