Description

The Colombia is the newest blend added to CAO's already impressive list of "world" cigars that includes CAO America, CAO Brazilia, and CAO Italia. The CAO Colombia uses Honduran wrapper from Jamastran Valley, Cameroon binder and filler from Colombia. This cigar is a smoky, with aromas of sweetness, pepper, coffee, and nutty flavors with a mild-medium body and medium-full flavor cigar with its distinct use of Colombian tobacco. The CAO Colombia has Cuban-seed tobaccos that have been growing in Colombia since the 19th century from a mountainous Colombian coastline where they have been cultivating a new tobacco known as "Ica Mazinga."
The CAO Colombia will be part of a regular production line, said Master Blender Rick Rodgriguez and Senior Brand Manager Ed McKenna both confirmed. Rodgriguez said in a press release, "We created the blend for CAO Colombia by experimenting with tobaccos used in the successful 'Escaparte' blend. We especially liked the way the Colombian tobacco was complemented by a touch of Brazilian Mata Fina. With a Nicaraguan Jamastran wrapper and Cameroon binder, CAO Colombia delivers a unique flavor experience unlike anything else we've ever released. We think it's the perfect cigar to introduce the world to Colombian tobacco." CAO Colombia Bogota - Corona Extra

Not great, not bad

New to the cigar world. I liked the CAO Columbia Bogata better than Connecticut cigars I’ve tried, but I prefer Habano and Sumatra wrappers better. Worth trying at least once, to see if you like it.

Fantastic blend of the best tobacco leaves from the mountains of Colombia, same grounds, same regions of the best coffee.

As a Colombian... (a little biased) this cigar is a great way to remember my mother land.

Have always enjoyed any blend with you he's of Colombia tobacco. This is the first Colombian dominated filler cigar i have tried and it is just awesome. Woody and earthy with just enough pepper to keep you on the edge of your seat the whole smoke thru.

Good cigar for beginners

Me and my friends loved this cigar. It is soft, fragrant and light vanilla smoke. I think the cigar lacks intensity and strength. The cigar is loose and has slight dips.

A pleasant smoke

Pre-light aroma of nice barnyard while at the foot a hint of baked bread. Burn was good with three minor touch ups during the hour and fifteen minutes. Ash was just a little flaky and each breeze caused a few flakes to fall. That hint of baked bread at the pre-light foot came through on the flavor once in a while as did a slight woody-cedar. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable cigar.
