Don't get me wrong not all cigars in this are Connecticut wrapper, but most are. Some are a bit different just to shake you up a bit so that you can get a different taste. So no matter your travel plans, remember you can always get a taste of Connecticut right here in this cigar sampler.
Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Toro (6 ½ x 52) Any cigar aficionado will tell you that when Rocky blends a cigar, it tends to lean towards the sophisticated palate. It's really not for the novice. His blends are rather complex, like a great Cabernet wine, he reaches for a combination of balance and complexity. Rocky says that when blending tobaccos from various regions, it takes greater skill and knowledge but the end result is the symmetry and marrying of all these flavors to produce a really great tasting cigar.
Camacho Connecticut Toro (6 x 50) The Camacho Connecticut is considered to be the “All around cigar” or the “Utility Cigar”. It’s like a Swiss Army knife. It comes equipped with all the tools needed to satisfy the palette from the most experienced cigar aficionado to the new kids on the block looking to get their foot in the door with a great tasting, balanced blend. It’s the one cigar that can satisfy anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Montecristo White Series At a whopping 6 x 54 the Montecristo White Toro is a huge smoke. Dominican and Nicaraguan long fillers combine with the Ecuadorian grown shade wrapper to produce copious amounts of smoke laced with honey, nuts and wood in a medium bodied smoke.
H Upmann Connecticut Toro (6 x 50) For a brand as established and reputed as H. Upmann, you wouldn’t expect them to become the trailblazers that are looking to change the status quo and reinvent the wheel. But by using a truly dark, Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper to envelop a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, the term “Connecticut” begins to take on a stronger, darker and spicier connotation. Rolled at Tabacalea De Garcia in the Dominican Republic, the Upmann Connecticut was released to mark the 175th anniversary of the brand, and with the wonderful blend of pepper, woods, roasted nuts, and coffee, this Medium-Bodied smoke finishes with the characteristic sweetness of a Connecticut wrapper, but with a bite that is a welcomed change.
Romeo Y Julieta 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Connecticut Nicaragua. This is a Nicaraguan puro that uses the finest vintage binder and filler tobaccos grown on the famed Plasencia farms. The cigar is finished with a gorgeous, silky, Connecticut seed wrapper. However, what makes this blend so special, is the fact that this Connecticut leaf normally harvested from the rich rocky hills in the Connecticut River Valley of the U.S, is grown in Nicaragua and aged more than three years. The result is a unique and intriguing new cigar that combines the signature earthy, spicy, sweetness of premium Nicaraguan tobaccos with the creamy smoothness of its prized Connecticut seed wrapper leaf.
