CAO Flathead Steel Horse Roadkill
CAO Flathead Steel Horse Roadkill
Created as the motorcycle-inspired extension of CAO’s Flathead series, CAO Flathead Steel Horse Roadkill trades the original line’s broadleaf focus for a darker, spicier profile built around a Connecticut Habano Oscuro wrapper. Beneath it are a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and long-fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, all handmade in Nicaragua and finished with the line’s distinctive squared cap.
This is a full-bodied smoke with a hearty, road-ready character, delivering notes of pepper, spice, chocolate, oak, and coffee. Roadkill is the larger format in the Steel Horse lineup, making it a good fit for smokers who enjoy a broad ring gauge and a substantial session; at its commonly listed 6 x 60 size, expect roughly 75 to 105 minutes depending on pace. Unlike the box-pressed Flathead originals, this release keeps a rounder presentation while holding onto the bold attitude that defines the series.
