Introduced in 2018, My Father La Promesa was created around a personal milestone in the Garcia family story. The name refers to the promise José “Pepín” Garcia made to build a future in the cigar business beyond Cuba, and the line reflects that sense of purpose with a blend made at the My Father factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Across the collection, the cigars share an Ecuadorian Habano rosado oscuro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos grown on Garcia family farms. That recipe gives the line a profile known for layered spice, earth, cedar, coffee, and measured sweetness, with body that generally sits in the medium-to-full range rather than pushing toward the heaviest end of the My Father portfolio.

Great Smoke
I was excited when I received the My Father La Promesa Robusto Grande. They arrived on time and in perfect shape. Mike's Cigars never disappoints me. This is the first time I've smoked one of these cigars. It had rich flavors, woody oak with some pepper. I always love the dark Habano wrapper on a cigar. This is an excellent smoke I will keep in my humidor moving forward.
