Introduced in 1988, Ashton Cabinet Selection was created as a more refined extension of the original Ashton profile, built around extra-aged Dominican tobaccos and a Connecticut Shade wrapper selected for greater delicacy and nuance. Handmade in the Dominican Republic by Tabacalera A. Fuente, the line is known for a patient aging approach that gives the blend a notably smooth character rather than the brighter, more straightforward expression associated with many traditional Connecticut-wrapped cigars.

Across the collection, Ashton Cabinet Selection stays in the mild to medium-bodied range, but it is not a bland cigar. Its identity comes from balance: creamy texture, cedar, toast, soft nuttiness, and a measured natural sweetness that develops without sharpness. Fantastic

I gravitate toward maduros, but this Ashton Cabinet is spectacular. I sometimes get a harsh, straw-like taste on lighter cigars, but the AC was smooth, flavorful and burned well throughout. I picked up a nutty taste early, which is the first time I recall that. Fantastic burn and clean, white ash.

Fantastic Stick

Wow, this a fantastic stick. Super smooth with great flavor and tons of smoke, almost feels chewy in your mouth. Draw and ash were perfect, but it did burn faster than I expected. Another top notch offering from Ashton. I enjoyed mine while re-gripping my other type of "sticks".
