Romeo 505 Nicaragua is the first Romeo y Julieta cigar made in Nicaragua with all Nicaraguan tobaccos. The 505 in the name refers to the country's area code, and the new Romeo Nicaragua is a welcomed addition to the Romeo by Romeo line. Altadis and their "Grupo de Maestros" blending team have developed these dark Romeos with a Habano Jalapa wrapper and binder, and Habano leaves in the filler from Esteli, Condega and Jalapa. This blend has created a richer, fuller bodied smoke for Romeo y Julieta, which has been around for decades thanks to its excellent quality of cigars. This richer, fuller bodied smoke is a great addition to a brand that has been known for its superb quality since the year 1875. The Romeo 505 Nicaragua by Romeo Y Julieta has received a superb 91-rating from Cigar Aficionado in their July 2017 issue! ...Read More
One of my go to RYJ’s. A well constructed cigar with lots of flavor and a beautiful rich aroma. Perfect for an afternoon or early evening smoke.

Great blend, horrible burn/construction
Maybe the rollers were having an off day. 10 in to my box and each one has been a struggle to smoke. Continuous canoeing, having to constantly re burn. The blend and draw is very nice when it burns well. Can only imagine how good this this would be if not for the continuous required correcting.

A great smoke!
This has become my new favorite. A smooth even burn with a great flavor. Wether I’m on the golf course or at Saratoga Race Track meeting a cast of characters, these 505’s are worth it!

Enjoyable
Romeo and Julieta is my budget / go to cigar brand. It is kind of like the cheapest among the good brands. There is a good reason why these cigars are much more than just a famous name. Tasty notes of almond and cedar. Good burn and plenty of creamy smoke.

They smoke real good y'all
Great looking cigar. Mild for a full bodied smoke. No harshness. Slight burn on retro hale, but no pepper taste. Consistent flavor throughout burn down to two fingers. Solid construction throughout. Great draw, firm, but full, with lots of smoke. A pretty even burn, but had to touch up the wrapper 3 times during smoke. A good 1 hr 20 min smoke. Pairs well with Shenk’s Kentucky Sour Mash. YUM!

The meaning of Nicaraguan
This is the definition of a Nicaraguan cigar. Real, full, balanced, spicy cigar.

Too Strong
My husband and I disagree on this stick, I found it too strong and overpowering, but he loves it.
