Created for Rocky Patel’s international portfolio, Rocky Patel Grand Reserve Robusto combines a measured medium-bodied profile with a blend that has earned a strong following since its 2018 debut. The current 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto is made in Honduras and presented in a box-pressed format, giving this release a more polished, contemporary feel than many of the brand’s traditional offerings.
The blend features an Ecuador wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers aged for two years after production. That combination delivers a creamy, layered character with notes centered on wood, nuts, leather, cocoa, earth, espresso, and a touch of spice. In this Robusto size, expect roughly 45 to 65 minutes of smoking time, depending on pace, making it a practical choice when you want depth and refinement without committing to a longer format.
