A new favorite
I'm biased - I'm old school and a big Punch fan. But don't let the light wrapper on the Grand Cru fool you. Although it is incredibly smooth, it is extremely rich and has a bit of strength. Grand Cru is an appropriate name since the pepper in the background is reminiscent of the fine grained tannins in a Grand Cru Bordeaux. Cuban comparisons are way over used these days, but I dare to say that it is the first cigar I've had that has reminded me of the contraband Montecristo #3s that I had a reliable supply of back in the late 90s. And I further dare to say that I like them better than the Monte White Vintage CT which is supposed to mimic the contraban (and cost a heck of a lot more!).
