Rating80%Montecristo White RothchildeThe Breakfast CigarWell, there is no question about how beautiful these are to look at. Such a smooth and creamy wrapper. The outer leaf feels like it has a "stretch" to it. Overall firmness, 4/5. My impression from anything Montecristo that I've had over the years is that construction is unimpeachable. Great draws all around, producing a flaky white ash which, in this case, does not cleanly break off with a firm tap.
The flavor is what you would expect of Montecristo White....clean and easy. There is a touch more spice than I expected from these Rothchilde's, but otherwise, everything is Belgian Waffles, Macadamia nuts and straw. For that reason, this feels like a classically good breakfast cigar and I often enjoy them with espresso. It is a premium cigar and the price reflects that, but when I consider that this box contains 27, rather than the usual 20 sticks, it's actually not that bad.
I think this smoke will mostly appeal to beginner and intermediate smokers, but even the experienced will enjoy diverting to it occasionally, due to its quality and perkiness. What can you say? Montecristo White is a classic.By Sluiceyourgob
