Description

The H. Upmann brand can trace its roots back to mid-19th century Cuba. Created in 1844 by banker Hermann Upmann, many attribute the first use of the cedar cigar box to Mr. Upmann and his brand.
In 1975, the Dominican made H. Upmann line debuted and quickly achieved great success becoming one of the bestselling brands in the US. These original H. Upmanns featured a high quality Cameroon wrapper which contributed greatly to the brand’s notable taste. Unfortunately, in 1995 at the height of the Cigar Boom, genuine African Cameroon wrappers became too difficult and costly to obtain and the H. Upmann brand was re-blended to feature the Indonesian wrapper still in use today.
Today, cigar aficionados can recapture that original H. Upmann taste in the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon cigars. Introduced in 2003, the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon line was created by Master Blender Jose Seijas at the famed Tabacalera de Garcia in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Utilizing only the highest grade African Cameroon wrappers, the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon cigars allow smokers to enjoy the same experience enjoyed by so many cigar smokers decades ago.
Medium in body yet full of roasted nuts, dried fruit flavor followed by woody, sweet aromas and finishing it off with a sweet velvty balanced smoke. The H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon line features a Nicaraguan binder wrapped around a filler blend comprised of tasty longfillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru. This cigar came with a cello wrapper inside the tube. No cedar wrapper. Smoke is milder than usual and does not have the Cameroon aroma or taste.

Starts out smooth and sweet, warming up with a mild to medium, exquisite flavor and aroma. Great even burns and easy draw. Finished off, never beyond medium to medium/full. Great overall afternoon/evening smoke.

Outside Cuban world and along with Nicaragua.. this is one fine cigar

Having been rarely getting my hands on my fav Cuban brands, Nicaragua cigars have been my next in line to go to cigars.
H. Upmann being my preferred choice along with Partagas.
Cameroon seemed like a worthwhile exotic try, and was a good surprise.. smooth, great hold, Med+ Flavor.
Iv added it to my revolving few choices.

Cranberries in the beginning

Draws really well. I smelled and tasted cranberries after cutting the cigar. At the finish I could still taste cranberries on my palette. I’d give this cigar to a friend.
