H. Upmann HAVOC Cigars are a 2013 release and are not to be confused with the Romeo y Julieta Havoc released earlier on 2012. These are two entirely different cigars, the H. Upmann Havoc being handmade in Honduras. San Andres Criollo wrappers from Cuban Seed and fine Dominican Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan tobaccos are what the Havoc is filled with, along with a unique flavorful profile. This is not your great-grandfather's cigar, it is the next generation of H. Upmann. The Havoc cigar box is gorgeous, an impressive presentation in flat black with gold medallion imprint motif and the H. Upmann signature. So new at this time, we had our expert tastemaker try the Havoc Robusto to give us some good notes. From the woodsy pre-light scent, earthy notes, to its consistent construction, slow and even burn time, it would make a great game day cigar, paired with chips and dips and even a single malt scotch. Luscious and rich with spicy nuttiness, but not the least bit harsh. Our conclusion: it is a joy to smoke and a very good cigar for the price, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Why cry havoc? Because everything Upmann is amazing and we project they will be wildly popular cigars!
