The Griffins, made by Davidoff. The highly respected Griffins cigars are one of the highest quality Dominican made cigars. Using a select blend of aged, Cibao Valley Dominican Tobaccos for filler and binder. Then using a smooth Ecuadorian and Connecticut Shade wrapper to finish off the cigars. Creates a mild to medium bodied, well-balanced, rich, and smooth smoke. Terrible
Little draw. Rolled too tight. Not enjoyable. I should have returned the box.

Griffin's Perfecto
Griffin’s Perfecto
I had never smoked a torpedo shape cigar so I thought I give it a try for a short smoke. Griffin’s are my cigar of choice because of the comforting tobacco and hand made quality. I was disappointed in the burn and unevenness of the smoke. Possibly because of the size the leaf were not full or the cigar didn’t meet my expectations. Taste awesome smooth and flavorful but the experience was not enjoyable.

Griffin's Perfecto
Small, Light Bodied, Firm, Grassy and Clean
For some cigar lovers like myself, shape is one of the most important factors in enjoying a smoke and I'd be lying if I said that wasn't exactly what attracted me to this perfecto. It is a gorgeous stick, solidly made by Griffin's. In fact, the photo doesn't do its beauty justice. The construction is clearly on the firm side, which makes it a physically tough cigar if it happens to be bouncing around in your pocket. This does, however, lead to a predictably tricky draw most of the time.
I have found nearly all of these to have a very tight draw at the outset and the temptation will be to give this cigar a more liberal cut to loosen things up. But give it a few minutes and you will find the draw will begin to open through the first quarter to a satisfactory degree. When it does, you will be treated to very grassy, clean notes on the oily side of things. Not spicy, but more creamy as this is a light bodied and elegant smoke. It is also rather quick, so perfect for those in-between moments throughout the day.
This cigar is what I would call a "show piece." It is not one of the more interesting flavor experiences I've had, but it delivers a wow factor with its good looks and velvety texture. Extremely firm and durable. Try a piece of light bodied elegance.

Interesting cigar
I was looking for some mild londsdale's that wouldn't break my bank and found these at about $7 per stick when getting the box. I gave them a try and I am happy I did. Mild and smooth to fill my palate for quite a while.

Griffin's Robusto
Excellent Creamy Stick
This is an excellent stick. Creamy and smooth from the first draw. There was a small bit of tunneling but it was slight and didn't affect the burn too badly. This stick is very similar to Ashton and AVO Classics but costs a bit more. For the price I'll go for an AVO, but this is a nice stick and you can't go wrong if it's your goto brand.

Griffin's Perfecto
A rose by any other name is still Perfecto
I'm not sure if its pure coincidence or excellent planning, but the mythic creature they chose to name this after and the emblem of said creature sure looks like it's got a cigar in its front paw to me, and if that was the case, it must be a Perfecto.
As simple to light as a cigarette, but with a roundness and texture that wouldn't be out of place amongst legends.
If you don't have a whole lot of time on your hands, but still want to enjoy a lovely cigar on a warm clear evening, then as you watch the sky burn its last colors, I suggest you burn one of these with it.
Especially easy to carry with you, even a few extra for your mates. That is if you decide you like your mates that much once you've tried one of these... You might just want to keep them all to yourself.
Best paired with a round Merlot or if you're feeling adventurous, an old fashioned of your choice.
But be warned, even if you're not the kind to take the label off to enjoy cigars down to the very last bit, you might just find an ever growing collection of these labels as your habits change!

Griffin's Robusto
Davidoff for less
One of my favorite cigars that never disappoint. I love Davidoff, but for the money I can taste the big D for a fraction of the cost. Always a consistent level burn, medium to full body and smooth. Probably my favorite Dominican cigar in this price range

Griffins Toro
Very disapointed with this cigar..Been a Griffins smoker for many years but first time smoker for Toro..Not advertised as boxed pressed but my box certainly was...Can't tell you how much I dislike box pressed cigars in general so struggled through the box..At this price they should get it right
