cousin, who is also known named Jose Blanco, are the fourth generation of the family to be involved in the tobacco industry.
In 1925, Jochy’s ancestors founded the Tabacalera Palma, where Jochy is now Chief Executive Officer. The family is responsible for opening the first cigar manufacturer in the Dominican Republic. Throughout the years the family has consistently supported the local economy by working with local independent growers and employing upwards of 1,500 people.
