The E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel cigar was just announced The No. 1 Cigar of The Year 2020 by the Cigar Aficionado magazine. Receiving and astonishing rating of 98.

Ernesto, or Ernie, as we all know him, is the last Mohican of the cigar giants that we all grew up to know and admire. Unlike most of them that are no longer making new cigars, Ernesto is alive and kicking! He is always cranking out amazing new stogies year after year just like he's been doing for more than 50 years, since the great years of La Gloria Cubana.

As we all stand at attention and salute this man we feel privileged to have memories of working with Ernesto, by helping him with distribution of El Credito cigars. Starting from the good old years when his entire production facility was located in three storefronts at Calle Ocho in Little Havana, Miami.

Just two years ago in 2018, Ernesto received the coveted No. 1 Cigar of The Year designation from Cigar Aficionado with the Encore Majestic cigar which received a rating of 96. Now he did it yet again with the fantastic E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel. Another notable cigars to mention is the La Historia E-III cigar that received No. 2 cigar of the year in 2014 with a rating of 95.
