The E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel cigar was just announced The No. 1 Cigar of The Year 2020 by the Cigar Aficionado magazine. Receiving an astonishing rating of 98.
Ernesto, or Ernie, as we all know him, is the last Mohican of the cigar giants that we all grew up to know and admire. Unlike most of them that are no longer making new cigars, Ernesto is alive and kicking! He is always cranking out amazing new stogies year after year just like he's been doing for more than 50 years, since the great years of La Gloria Cubana.
As we all stand at attention and salute this man we feel privileged to have memories of working with Ernesto, by helping him with the distribution of El Credito cigars. Starting from the good old years when his entire production facility was located in three storefronts at Calle Ocho in Little Havana, Miami.
Just two years ago in 2018, Ernesto received the coveted No. 1 Cigar of The Year designation from Cigar Aficionado with the Encore Majestic cigar which received a rating of 96. A wonderful cigar from start to finish. I have never tried this cigar before, but now I will probably finish my search for a delicious and beautiful cigar. Before this cigar, I smoked LFD Andolus Bull for several years, but unfortunately, today this cigar is almost impossible to buy.
