Respectable Mid Range Churchill
El Rey Del Mundo has been a ubiquitous label in my cigar journey since I began smoking almost 20 years ago. I've had many different expressions over that time. It's the preferred cigar of a dear friend of mine, so when these Churchills popped up here for $5 a stick, I took home a box, thinking I might share a few. I'm down to my last handful and so here are my thoughts.
The wrapper is dull matt brown and construction is decent. These were always eye catching, wrapped in tissue : ) Flavor profile is mostly savory, not terribly smoky or bold. I get nuances of smoked salmon and ham, coconut husk and very soft leather. But there is also a kind of synthetic bitterness on the back end, all throughout the experience. This is my main complaint. The burn is mostly good, but I have experienced noticeable canoeing at times. Had this been a larger gauge, it might present a catastrophe, but the thinner make helps to burn hot and even things out. It remains relatively consistent in flavor up to the hilt and produces a salt and pepper flaky ash that will drop into your lap if not addressed..
In total, this feels like a 4.5/10 mid range smoke. I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at it when offered. Personally, I would seek out bolder flavors, but that's not to say it won't satisfy the casual smoker.

I bought my cigars and qualified for a special gift it being ERDM plus a lighter and I was extremely impressed with this cigar that I decided I’m buying a box extremely smooth with the right pepper with some great cocoa notes they come wrapped in paper very good looking cigar not toothy I’m enjoying them that I ordered more highly recommended!!!

Great overall smoke
I've been smoking these great cigars for 30+ years. A very tasty, pleasantly aromatic, and extremely enjoyable stogie. One of my all-time favorite cigars. One of my several humidors has included either the belicoso or the robusto grande held several at all times (usually both). A delicious chocolate and mildly earthy flavor, including a very intoxicating aroma. One of the best cigars ever blended by Frank Llaneza (Villazon & Company). The "flavor-of-the-month-boutique-brands" come and go, but this excellent master-maduro cigar is still "The King of The World"! (IMHO)
