Nica Rustica is another outstanding Nicaraguan blend from Drew Estate Cigars. Nica Rustica was created in Esteli, Nicaragua and skillfully hand crafted in the old Cuban style method of rolling the cigar with a pig-tailed cap. This is a full bodied cigar with Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Mexican San Andreas Negro binder and Jalapa and Esteli filler from Nicaragua. Once you light this cigar, you will instantly be blown away by the complex taste of woody, earthy, sweet and peppery and robust notes. "El Brujito" which means "Witch Doctor" in Spanish is the design illustration on the cigar band and box. The symbol comes from the people and culture of Esteli who use of tobacco leaves is also known to be used in ceremonials and medicinal rituals that goes back thousands of years. Nica Rustica was built and constructed to be rustic for true cigar enthusiast. Bold and entirely satisfying, this is definitely a must have for cigar aficionados. Nica Rustica received an outstanding 90-rating from Cigar Aficionado magazine's August 2016 issue! ...Read More
I have had these as my daily cigar for a year now. Love the flavor, consistent quality and smooth burn. It is very rare to get an uneven burn or tunneling. Most of those were my fault when lighting. Highly recommend if you like a full flavor cigar.

A quality everyday smoke that has a smooth and full flavor with an even 20-40min burn depending on your pace.

Nica Rustica Belly - Belicoso
Good cigar. Great price
Flavor is good. Construction is usually good but I do find a couple in each box that have issues. With the price I can live with the occasional construction issue. Belicoso lasts about two and a half hours.

Larutan without the flavor
The first thing that comes to my mind regarding this stick is the old saying "you get what you pay for". Is that bad? Not at all. If you want an inexpensive stick, that is solidly constructed with an easy draw that pours out tons of smoke and is relatively mild to do some serious garage sitting then this may be the smoke for you! Personally I'd rather buy a Larutan or Isla Del Sol Madura and get the creamy, delicious flavors. I find it interesting that this is rated as full bodied as I thought it was really quite mild. Perfect for someone transitioning from flavored smokes like the Larutan & Isla del Sol to non-flavored cigars.

Joining the Rotation
This cigar is going to have a permanent place in my humidor. Drew Estates has done it again, they rarely put out a bad cigar. I love the rustic look of these smoke monsters. Construction, draw, and burn are nearly flawless. The chocolate and pepper combination is dynamic. Thanks to Mikes for the great price and speedy delivery.

Great smoke.
Christopher Columbus's navigational accident introduced to the world at large, four gifts of nature; potatoes, tomatoes, chili peppers, and tobacco. With their Nica Rustica cigar, Drew Estate has proven again that ole Christopher's mistake was the cigar smoker's gift.
The first part of the Nica Rustica reminds me of the taste of black licorice. As the halfway point is crossed, the flavor becomes a subtle hint of cherry wood. And all the while, the Nica produces a copious amount of beautiful blue smoke. After going through at least three boxes, I can say the burn of a Nica is as good as will be found on any other cigar you'll smoke. Add to that a great draw and the Nica Rustica is a must try. Even more so if you like hot chili peppers.

Cheap Thrill
This is a cheap thrill and I mean that in the most positive way. It's inexpensive and it's thrilling to smoke if you're a fan of the nicaraguan full bodied cigars.

Great cigar
I tried this cigar as a gift. It was wonderful, plenty of smoke and I had a couple hours of enjoyment. I say try one, you may find a new favorite
I can’t believe no one has written a review about this stick yet. One of the first DE sticks I had. It is not a beginners cigar. A full figured cigar that will slap you in the face and tell you everything will be ok. Starts with tons of pepper and eases you into notes not of coffee and oak. The retrohale is a straight up throat punch.
