Don Pepin Garcia
DON PEPIN GARCIA
Don Pepin Garcia also crafted blends for several respected names by Habanos S.A., including Cohiba, Partagas, and Montecristo. He also served as head of quality control for Cohiba, was named as Cuba’s most productive master roller, and was called “the most exciting person and cigar concept” by Jose Blanco of La Aurora S.A..
Despite his near legendary status and prolific list of acclaim and accolades, Don Pepin Garcia has remained humble, and dedicated to his goal of crafting only the finest cigars, just as they were made in Cuba.
Don Pepin Garcia Cigars, therefore, had a lot to live up to, and as expected from cigars crafted by their eponymous founder, Don Pepin Garcia Cigars do not disappoint.
Each cigar is still handcrafted at the unassuming El Rey de los Habanos factory in Little Havana, Miami, with 26 cigar entries that have been ranked by Cigar Aficionado at a 90 rating and above. Don Pepin Garcia Cigars are lauded for their flawless construction, consistency, and bold flavors that compel and entice one into delving deeper, excitedly taking another draw.
Every aficionado owes it to themselves to enjoy this, another wonderful entry by the venerable Don Pepin Garcia.

Rating100%Don Pepin Garcia Blue Invictos - RobustoWhat a Big Plate of ChocolateThe wrapper is silky and very tactile.
In cold - leather, chocolate, wood
The start is generously endowed with pepper. The smoke is very sweet, chocolatey. An inch later the pepperiness leaves, but does not leave us at all)) Pepper gives way to tones of dark coffee and dark chocolate. By the end of the first third, only chocolate remains in taste. Pure chocolate. Dark and aromatic. The smoke takes on a light perfumery.
The second third continues the active chocolate line, with some nuts and woodiness. The aftertaste remains light cognac and the aroma of oak barrels. Dark caramel is added to the final of the second third.
The fortress grows very delicately, pleasantly relaxing, but not tiring.
By the final third, the fortress is gaining momentum. The chocolate is fading away giving way to woody tones interspersed with dark roasted coffee and some herbal notes.

Rating20%Don Pepin Garcia Blue Toro GrandeMassively overrated and disappointing cigarLet me start by saying I generally love Nicaraguan cigars. But not this one. It’s got to be the most overrated cigar I’ve ever encountered. First, the draw is terrible. Like sucking ice through a straw. Second, it just tastes and smells bad. No complexity. It’s like smoking shredded paper. I bought a box of 18, I’ve now tried 3 of them and they are horrible. They are so bad I’d feel guilty giving them away. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE.

Rating80%Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Sublime - ToroNot bad, nothing specialThis stick wasn't bad, but I've had better. The first three draws were super harsh and spicy but smoothed out after that. Definitely medium to full with multiple flavors. Draw was perfect but around the half way point the burn got really messed up.
