Diesel Disciple Lancero

Lean, Elegant, Savory and Medium Bodied

Shape is important to me and I have long prized the Lancero. There's something elegant about it in an old-time, riverboat gambler sort of way. Diesel Disciple Lanceros are one of the finest examples of this style in my experience.

In the first third, I find heavy plastic cinnamon candy notes. That's where the spice is. Then dusty black coal and slices of fried brown sugar ham and cured pepperoni. The final third is oily and reminds me of rich, bitter cacao. The wrapper is shiny and smooth, like dark chocolate, without any obnoxious veins.

This is an affordable beauty. It holds a good ash, burns evenly with an excellent draw and leans toward the savory meat side of flavor with some chocolate. I enjoy being able to buy these in boxes of 10 because it gives me the chance to add some nice variety to my humidor without committing to a lot of the same style (I usually smoke bigger gauges). The packaging is nice and the price is right. There's simply nothing to nitpick.
