Cohiba Cigar Brand Cigars

COHIBA CIGAR BRAND

Cohiba Cigar Brand occupies a singular place in modern premium cigars, built around the 1997 debut of Red Dot and expanded into a portfolio that reaches well beyond one blend or strength profile. The brand’s core identity was established in the Dominican Republic, where Red Dot paired a Cameroon wrapper with Indonesian binder and Dominican Piloto Cubano filler to create the spicy, layered style that introduced many smokers to the name. Over time, the portfolio has grown into a broader house style that includes Dominican, Honduran, Nicaraguan, and limited-production expressions rather than a single uniform formula.

That range is central to understanding the brand. Red Dot remains the foundational classic, while Cohiba Blue moves production and flavor in a mellower, Honduran direction with a Honduran Habano wrapper and a multi-origin filler blend. Cohiba Black takes a darker, richer path built around Connecticut Broadleaf and aged tobaccos, and Cohiba Connecticut shows the brand’s softer side with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a blend that includes Brazilian, Dominican, and Nicaraguan leaf. Cohiba Nicaragua marked the brand’s first all-Nicaraguan collection, giving the line a fuller expression rooted in Estelí and Jalapa tobaccos.

The brand’s upper tier has also helped define its reputation. Cohiba Royale pushed further into a richer profile with Nicaraguan wrapper, Dominican binder, and a filler mix that also includes Honduran tobacco, while limited releases such as Serie M and Spectre have emphasized small-scale production and presentation. That breadth explains why Cohiba is best understood not as one cigar with many sizes, but as a brand with several distinct interpretations of premium blending, spanning refined Cameroon-led classics, darker broadleaf-forward cigars, Connecticut-wrapped milder offerings, and fuller Nicaraguan-based releases.

This is a great cigar. I got hints of cream, leather, chocolate, and a little bit of pepper. It was a well rounded cigar and I will be buying more in the future.

Cohiba Robusto

Red Dot

Great cigar. It was a good smoke thru and thru the only problem I had to relight it a couple times for the price I was expecting just a little bit more.

Solid smoke

I've tried many Cohibas over the years and these fit nicely into the mix but if I must say in my best Jud Crandall voice..."Sometimes Red is bettah" lol

Great smoke for a small cigar.

I’ve used them for a few years and find them very close to a full sized cigar when im pinched for time.

Cohiba Black Corona

Cohiba its a very traditional cigar brand, you cannot go wrong with it. But among the several types, Cohiba Black is one of the best. Dark leaf full of flavor, strong but not too much excellent for a cognac companion.

Cohiba Riviera Lancero – Box Pressed

Good, but square

It may be as good as the Alec Bradley Coyol lancero, or I may need to sober up. Good smoke, different flavor profile, but square.

CAO Flavours Bella Vanilla Cigarillo

Sweet and a little vanilla

I don't know if the cigar was in a different condition, but the smoke was uneven than moontrance. But sweet tip, the smoke felt a little vanilla and it wasn't too spicy, so it was a good cigar reel for beginners to access

Cohiba Blue 7x70

2 hour smoke? Yes!

This was bigger than I expected. The flavors are mild, the draw was smooth just as a Cohiba should be. Overall this cigar was perfect for a 2 hour smoke. Shared these with a few special friends, and they all loved it.

Cohiba Blue 6 x 54 - Toro

Sweet and Smooth!

First time having the blue series in the Cohiba lineup, will definitely be adding some more of these to humidors! It has a nice smooth pull with a hint of sweetness afterwards which adds a pleasant surprise. Pairs well with just about anything from coffee to bourbon to your favorite ale. Definitely won’t regret it.

Cohiba Black Supremo

One of the best Cohibas

This is probably one of the best Cohibas I’ve had! It’s dark and rich color gives you the impression it will be a strong cigar but on the contrary it is smooth and flavorful from start to finish. Because of its smoothness it pairs well with just about anything of choice. Definitely won’t regret it!!
