The Buena Vista Reserva 2008 cigar is the re-introduction of this prestigious brand that has been off the market for over a year and a half. Now, it is under the MGM Cigar name and Jose E. Borges Batista is in charge. Batista said in a press release, “It quickly caught flight, only to be put to bed for a short while. I am thankful to have relocated to the United States where I am free to forge ahead with our project. We look forward to re-introducing the Buena Vista Cigar brand which pays homage to all who, through music and from one generation to another, have kept the Cuban traditions, values and joie de vivre alive.” Buena Vista cigars use 100% Cuban-seed tobacco grown in Central America. They had stored over 200,000 cigars that were carefully stored to protect the cigars and one day be enjoyed by cigar aficionados. When you smoke one of these cigars, you will smell the aroma of cedar, pepper, nutty, caramel, and creamy notes. It's a medium strength cigar with an excellent construction and burn that will make you feel satisfied after smoking a Buena Vista cigar.
My father-in-law gave me half a dozen of these left in the box he got from a friend, I wasn't expecting much after the first one fought me the whole way but after a few weeks in my humidor the rest gave me no trouble and actually had a decent flavor to them. Definitely worth the price.

Very nice cigar. Started off kind of leathery the about a third of the way became cedar or pine tasting and spicy the spicy. Finished smooth. Tight draw.

Great, cheap cigars
I love these Buena Vista cigars, they are cheap but most importantly, smooth and very aromatic. I really enjoy the cedar and spice notes which are not overpowering making this a good medium cigar (I don't like strong/harsh cigars). Even thou this brand is not very well-known, I believe their cigars are of a great quality.

Surprisingly Good Cigar
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cigar. The easy draw, great taste, and price are amazing for a cigar with a burn that was this impressive. The box it comes in is a nice touch and I was especially impressed with the nice note the Master Torcedor placed in the box. I will keep a stock of these sticks in my humidor.
