I am glad I did, the Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper Robusto was a pleasure to smoke. As the description states it combines an Ecuador Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, with long fillers from the Dominican and Nicaragua. Great flavors poor construction.
When I first tried these I loved them so much I decided to buy a box, great flavors. However, only about 1 out of 5 is smokeable. The construction is extremely inconsistent, the draw is so tight they are not smokeable. The whole box is like this, I couldn’t be more disappointed. I keep my cigars in a quality humidor at 65 percent humidity using boveda. Very poor quality control on Alec n Bradley part. Mikes was great, excellent service and shipping. I’ll buy from Mikes again but just not the gatekeeper.
