AJ Fernandez Gispert Intenso

5 star cigar for me. Wonderful taste and smell. Build quality was absolutely outstanding.

I normally buy bundles in the $30 to $50 range but decided to splurge and buy a box this time around. Immediately I noticed the nice smooth and even draw on these. Great smoke production and flavor is phenomenal if you’re into a rich smoke and slow even burn. Would definitely purchase again!

Like most folks, I've had my share of mild Gispert cigars over the years and was even a little hesitant to reach out for a box of Intensos, just on the basis of them being such an abrupt departure from Gispert's usual usual line. I'm so glad that I did, because I've found another stick to permanently keep in my humidor.

First off, impressive construction. These box pressed figurados are quite firm without being constricting. I usually snip these pretty close to the tip and I've never had a single one draw too tight. The wrapper is a lovely, soft and velvety sort of maduro and the whole thing smells so rich. You know how horse stables smell so richly of manure, leather and dark earth that's it's almost sweet? That's the kind of personality and depth we have here. Not spicy/peppery. Rather, a sweet earthiness with a soft texture to it. The size is also perfect for a good hour long conversation. No abrupt bitterness in the finish...this cigar ends gracefully . In fact, you won't want to put it down.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the Intenso line. They haven't cut any corners here and they've provided a flavor profile which stands out among many other maduros. The price is right, too. One word of advice, I recommend letting these settle into your humidor for at least a couple of weeks. This is one cigar which does need a good humid rest as the first one I had right out of the box was a little raucous.

Soft & chewy brownies, horse leather and rich, dark soil. Abundant plumes of smoke from a very gracious draw. Qualifies as a hidden gem.

With make you sweat a little first time you try it. Nicotine level is up there. Flavor is amazing and it will leave you wanting more. Best priced power house coming out of AJs camp.

Like the name says, this is a hearty smoke. This is a great full flavor smoke.

First time it tried this was when a smoking buddy offer it to me. From the first puff it put a knot in my forehead ! I like strong but this cigar is no joke. Its got lots of chocolate and cinnamon undertones to boot.

AJ Fernandez has been hot for a minute! Nothing speaks stronger that his reinvention for Gispert, a normally mellow blend. He took this thing the opposite direction and it is an Instant classic for anyone who likes AJ and his heavy blends

I initially purchased this in a sample pack. This is a delicious smoke start to finish. Don't let the dark wrapper fool you, this is more of a medium to full smoke, very creamy on the palate. I just purchased a box!
