The Pelo de Oro was the tobacco of choice for Cuban cigars in the 80's but since it was prone to illness such as blue mold, it is almost no longer in use by Cuban factories since it is an expensive tobacco to grow.
During the last few years, AJ Fernandez has been painstakingly growing small amounts of this rare tobacco and decided to use it in this collaboration with Rafael. Aging Room Pelo de Oro is available in 1 size only, in boxes of 10 cigars.
If you don't like cigars that are made in small quantities and with special attention to detail, with Cuban triple mounted head, a pig tail and a beautiful, oily wrapper, then this cigar is not for you.
