Introduced in 2006 as part of Rocky Patel’s Vintage Series, Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 is built around an aged Connecticut shade wrapper from the 1999 crop, a choice that gives the line its identity and places it on the milder side of the company’s portfolio. The blend is made in Honduras with Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, creating a profile that is smoother and more understated than many of Rocky Patel’s fuller-bodied releases.
Across the line, the emphasis is on balance rather than weight, with notes that commonly lean toward cedar, grass, light spice, cream, and nuts. That combination has helped make Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 a longstanding option for smokers who prefer a Connecticut-wrapped cigar with a gentler structure but more complexity than a purely soft breakfast blend. Its place within the Vintage family is defined less by strength than by age, restraint, and a classic Honduran-made interpretation of the mellow premium cigar style. ...Read More

Love these cigars
Smooth and good burning. I love to pair these with bourbon or scotch. Good cigars to keep around for sharing with those casual cigar smoking friends that drop in.

For a quick smoke, it’s almost perfect
Really great smoke when the rush of the morning slows. It’s a mild smoke but not bland. It has some spice and nut flavors present they make it a nice smoke. The wrapper construction is somewhat varied. I’ve been through four tins and have had a few issues.

Great Stick
This is a great stick. Very smooth and slightly creamy. I detected earthy flavors and what I'd call "minty". Very consistent flavor past the band. Excellent construction with a perfect draw, burn and ash. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this stick but in this price range, Connecticut wrapper, mild to medium bodied....I prefer AVO by just a smidgeon.
