Description

Created to mark Rocky Patel’s 60th birthday, Rocky Patel Sixty is a box-pressed Nicaraguan collection made at the Tavicusa factory and built around a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The line was introduced after additional aging, a detail that helps explain its more polished, settled character compared with many fuller modern blends.

Across the collection, the profile is generally medium to full-bodied, with a core of earth, wood, coffee, pepper, and natural sweetness shaped by the San Andrés wrapper. Rather than leaning on sheer weight, the blend is known for combining richness with a more refined texture, which has made it one of the more widely noted anniversary releases in Rocky Patel’s portfolio.

Its reputation was strengthened when the Rocky Patel Sixty Sixty earned 96 points and the No. 2 spot on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2022, recognition that brought broader attention to the line as a whole. That reception helped establish Rocky Patel Sixty as more than a commemorative release, giving it a clear place among the brand’s better-regarded modern collections.

Rocky Patel Sixty Toro

Rocky Patel Sixty Toro: A beautifully smooth cigar with bold flavors

The Rocky Patel Sixty in Toro size is a cigar that packs a punch with its smooth bold flavors. This cigar features a dark and oily wrapper that is beautiful to behold. Upon lighting, my palate was hit with a mix of spice, earthiness, and notes of dark cocoa. The intensity of the smoke is complemented by a smooth draw and an even burn, showcasing the cigar's masterfully constructed nature. The aroma was rich and aromatic, filling the air with an enticing scent. The Rocky Patel Sixty Toro is by far my favorite Rocky Patel Cigar. This is one cigar that I intend to keep on hand in my humidor.

Absolutely one of the best cigars I’ve had in quite a while. They clearly did their homework on the choosing the right combination of tobacco. Enjoyable to the very last puff.
