They seemed somewhat dry when I took them out of the bundle wrapper and when I cut the first one I really thought it was too dry. I was wrong! These light well, burn even and slow and have excellent flavor! I can't sit here on my boat and tell you it has any specific flavor like hickory nuts with a hint of leather and oak or anything like that. I'm just an overgrown country boy with a palate that doesn't separate flavors like that. But I can tell you that so far these go good with coffee, bourbon, or all by themselves. I'll be buying a couple more bundles in the near future.
