La Aurora is celebrating a lot of firsts in their “Time Capsule” series of cigars, and the La Aurora 1987 was produced to celebrate the first time the brand ever used a Connecticut shade wrapper, back in, you guessed it, 1987. Mellow and sweet by nature, Connecticut tobacco leafs flourish in the shade and have been a popular choice for cigar wrappers since the 1900’s!
Originally
grown in the Windsor and Housatonic Valley of Connecticut, the wrapper is the result of a Habano seed that acclimated to the unique soil and climate found in Connecticut. The Connecticut shade grown wrapper in the La Aurora 1987, covers a tasty blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, bound in a Dominican binder.  The result is a medium-bodied cigar with notes of sweet cedar, coffee, earth, pepper, citrus and toasted nuts.
Affordable and full flavored, La Aurora Cigars are a "best-kept-secret" cigar that true aficionados have taken advantage of for years. Get in the know, and experience the La Aurora difference.
