Many believe that caffeine keeps the cigar business alive. Java cigars play off of that time-honored tradition and combine them into one entity, a move that turns the cigar industry on its head.
Java is a collaboration between Jonathon Drew of Drew Estates and Rocky Patel that launched in 2004. This is a partnership that screams “quality innovation”.
Drew Estates is responsible for crafting some of the best infused cigars on the market. Their original brand ACID boosted the success of the infused cigar movement. ACID remains one of the most popular brands in its flavorful niche.
Rocky Patel is synonymous with quality and perfecting innovation. Patel’s philosophy is that finding perfection involves evolving. He is quoted “You can expect more and you will get more”.
Both Drew Estates and Rocky Patel joined the cigar market in the mid-1990’s. Cigar Aficionado considers them “survivors” because they emerged during the boom but did not die away with it as other new-comers did.
Java cigars are box-pressed and come in various sizes, which provide different smoking lengths. All Java cigars have notes of espresso and chocolate. Java also has lines with mint and cherry flavors. The aged filler tobacco is Nicaraguan and the wrappers vary between the lines but include hearty Brazilian grown and Connecticut-seed Ecuador-grown options.
A venture between two young companies has led to an astoundingly successful sleek cigar. The brand follows Patel’s motto of continued growth and has done so fairly quickly.
Java’s premium cigars could easily replace dessert. They have a sweet well-balanced flavor profiles and smooth finishes. They’re the perfect classy fix for a sweet tooth.

My Favorite Stogie

I never give five stars in any review as there is always room for improvement. Nothing is perfect in this world. But these Java Mint's are hands down the closest thing to a perfect cigar. The Patit Corona is the right size to light up during a gentleman's game of poker.

My rookie mistake! I was unaware the cigar was infused. It was too sweet and unbearable could not even smoke it down halfway... Even after cutting the entire cap off!

Great mild cigars with a great flavor

I love the size and taste on these. They are my goto fo early mornings to pair with coffee on an empty stomach. They are mild and take about 30 minutes to smoke. I got the whole box to enjoy.

Really nice cigar

This is one of our favorites. Reminds me of a mint melt away at first. Smells great too. The only downside side is the wrapper tends to come undone most times near the start and end of the smoke. Aside from that it’s a great smoke.

Java Red The 58

Java has done it again

The is my first time smoking a Red as I'm typing this review I'm fairly new to cigars. But I have become fond of the Java sticks. My favorite so far is the mint but the Red is very nice. The flavor is well balanced and not over powering. When taking out the wrapper I could smell the chocolate and hint of the cherry right out the gate. This stick burns evenly and the taste is there. I'm drinking wine with and it goes together like a hand in a glove. I will definitely be adding more of these on my next purchase.

Java mint is where it's at

Love the Java mint smells like chocolate chip mint cookies, I just got into cigars and I'm not much of a smoker but these javas are great. The have a great smell and taste makes me hungry for dessert. I've read the flavor infused cigars are kinda frowned upon due to over powering glove and obnoxious taste, but this guy is organic with its flavor when it says mint its mint and the coffee sets it on top. Its definitely my go to.

Nice, short smoke

These are not menthol! It's much more akim to a dark chocolate mint cookie, like a thin mint. The shape is a little weird to cut (I recommend a wedge) but the overall stick is satisfying and different from your usual smoke. Give them a try!
