Created as the fourth release in Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s Perez-Carrillo series, EP Carrillo Allegiance stands apart from the company’s Dominican-made core lines by being produced in Nicaragua by Oliva Cigar Co. The blend pairs an Ecuador Sumatra-seed wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and fillers, giving the line a profile that is richer and more spice-driven than many smokers expect from the Carrillo name while still retaining the balance that defines the series.

That combination helped establish Allegiance as more than a one-off collaboration. Its reputation was reinforced when the Allegiance Confidant received 95 points and the No. 5 spot in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2023, recognition that gave the collection a clear place among the most notable modern releases associated with the E.P. Carrillo name. ...Read More

The EP Carrillo Allegiance Robusto is a superb choice for those who are seeking a cigar that combines intensity with refinement.

Upon lighting, a symphony of flavors unfolded—hints of dark chocolate, espresso, and earthy spices danced on my palate, creating a complex and well-balanced profile. The construction of the Allegiance was exceptional, providing a smooth draw and an even burn throughout the entire smoke. The aroma was inviting, with a pleasing mix of sweetness and richness.
