Introduced in 2023, Cohiba Riviera marked a notable shift for the brand by becoming its first regular-production box-pressed line and its first to use a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Handmade in Nicaragua at STG Estelí, the collection pairs that dark wrapper with a Honduran Connecticut binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras, giving the line a blend identity distinct from earlier Cohiba releases.

Across the range, the series is known for a fuller profile built around earth, pepper, leather, and dark sweetness rather than the lighter, creamier style associated with some other Cohiba offerings. That combination helped define Riviera quickly after launch, and the Cohiba Riviera Robusto Box-Pressed earned a place in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2024, reinforcing the line’s early reputation as one of the brand’s more substantial modern expressions.

These cigars burns nice and has a great taste.

The flavor of the Riviera for me is the best cigars in the Cohiba band! Just can't stop smoking them.
