Translated to English, “Liga Privada” means the “Private Blend”. It’s the perfect name to a perfect balance. To a cigar that was crafted not for resale, but for the personal humidors of only the chosen ones. Dozens upon dozens of intricate blends were created by Drew Estate, but No.9 was the flawless winner in both flavors and characters. A rich, complex and full bodied smoking experience that isn’t harsh on the palate and begs to be smoked time and time again. It’s simply one of the most satisfying smokes you’ve ever laid your eyes on.
The moment you light up a Liga Privada No.9, you instantly get the feel that this wasn’t a cigar made for the general audience. It was intended to be smoked by the chosen few that Drew Estate decided would be appropriate. But like all things, it couldn’t be kept a secret for long. So now we get to enjoy this cigar in all its glory. Aged a full year, no expense has been spared or shortcut taken to create a cigar that is nothing short of perfection. Hell, if there was a cigar dictionary, this cigar would make a good argument to be the photo next to the definition of perfection. The tobaccos come from seven farms. The capa is a Connecticut broadleaf. The capote is a Plantation-grown Brazilian Mata Fina. The “Tripa” is a select Honduran and Nicaraguan Cuban Seed. The profile is lush, with earthy undertones and an espresso like flavor that has an incredibly dense body.
In Drew Estates ongoing search to create some of the best cigars, they have been on a constant quest to find the most unique blends, the rarest tobaccos, the finest wrappers, and the most skilled tobacconists to create the perfect smoke. Most of the samples they create are believe it or not, dismissed. Most don’t make the cut. Few are deemed worthy of the brand name. But, sometimes we like to be selfish. We like to indulge in what we have left over. So make sure to indulge the right way. Grab a Liga Privada No.9 today and partake in the joy of a true cigar.

Rated #10 in Top 25 Cigars of 2015 by Cigar Aficionado magazine!
Receiving an outstanding 94-rating from Cigar Aficionado magazine!

Cigar Aficionado magazine said, "...They’re solid to the touch and packed tightly with loads of hearty tobacco, yet still draw beautifully. It’s one of the heaviest blends on the market and is bound by a gutsy Connecticut broadleaf wrapper and Brazilian Mata Fina binder. Every puff of the Corona Doble seems to make a bold statement with a complex range of strong earthy flavors, a sweet quality redolent of perique tobacco and a sweet tarry finish."

This is also what Cigar Aficionado had to say about being Rated in the Best Cigar List 2014
"No one could deny that Drew Estate is a major player in the world of cigars, but in the company’s early years it was easy to dismiss them as nonserious cigar producers. Drew Estate was known for being a major player in the world of flavored (they call them infused) cigars, specifically the brand ACID, which sold in the millions of units but left cigar connoisseurs scratching their heads. The image of Drew Estate changed forever when the company released Liga Privada, a full-bodied, handmade, premium cigar powered by dark tobacco leaves, including a thick and oily broadleaf wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley. The cigars are hot items in cigar stores, often on back order, and they appeal to those who like strong smokes. The Belicoso has notes of white pepper, hints of charcoal, raisins and some chalky notes." Credit: Cigar Aficionado Magazine
